I actually like the video. It's a little dated as girls can get their periods as soon as 9 years old now, but I think it shares all the information they need to know. This could actually be used to help explain the process to young girls. I plan on sharing it with my daughter, maybe it will open up the conversation a bit more.
ReplyDeleteI think the specific period information is great. I think the gender bias and stereotypes are atrocious. I mean, "keep yourself pretty" and "get over your moods and put on a happy face regardless of how you feel, because you're a pretty girl"...blech.
